Overview :
This one-day course introduces participants to geogear; and provides the foundation for becoming a successful geogear; user. Participants learn how to use geogear; in conjunction with ArcMap; and explore how these applications work together to provide a complete GIS maintenance and navigation software solution. This course covers fundamental concepts in the extension as well as how to create, edit, and work with the extended editing, navigation and query, advanced print and COGO tools. Participants learn how to manipulate GIS data, query a GIS database, and present data clearly and efficiently using maps.

This course is designed for those with fundamental knowledge of ArcGIS and geographic information systems in general and for those who will be utilizing the geogear extension for advanced data maintenance.

Prerequisites and Recommendations:
This course is for those who have completed Introduction to ArcGIS I. If the prerequisite course is not completed, a participant should have comparable experience with ArcGIS before taking this course.
